B&C International To Be Acquired By Springs Window Fashions

B&C International (B&C) and Springs Window Fashion (Springs) have reached an agreement on the acquisition of B&C by Springs, with an expected closing in the next 30 days.

B&C is a leading window decoration manufacturer with a strong presence at home furnishing and do-it-yourself chains, as well as window treatment dealers, in Europe. It has approximately 700 employees.

“We are excited to join the Springs team” said Michiel Verdonk, CEO of B&C. “I believe this partnership will accelerate our growth, and we look forward to leveraging the capabilities and innovation of the broader Springs organization.”

The acquisition adds the B&C brand portfolio and European manufacturing footprint to Springs’ current business, which is based primarily in North America today. Springs is the market leader for custom window treatments in the US retail channel, where its Bali brand is sold in major retailers such as The Home Depot and Lowe’s. Additionally, its Graber brand is a leading brand in the independent residential dealer channel. Springs is also the market leader in the commercial channel, selling high quality and technologically advanced products under the Mecho and SWFcontract brands.

“B&C is a unique opportunity for Springs to expand our geographic footprint and establish a major presence in several important European markets” said Eric Jungbluth, President and CEO of Springs Window Fashions. “We are impressed with B&C’s leadership team and its manufacturing, sales and marketing capabilities. We look forward to partnering with B&C and leveraging the scale of the broader Springs organization.”

The current owner of B&C, who has been involved with the company for more than 40 years, has decided to sell the company to a strategic partner that is well positioned to accelerate B&C growth. In collaboration with Springs, B&C will be able to maintain and further expand its strong market presence in Europe.
